Barn Roof Renovation

New roofs, re-roofing, re-sheeting and repairs on agricultural and industrial buildings.

Roofing & Re-Sheeting

A Watertight Roof, Start to Finish

An old barn roof does not have to mean a new building. We strip and replace worn sheeting, repair the timbers and steelwork underneath, and finish the job with new flashings and rainwater goods — leaving you with a watertight, well lit shed for a fraction of the cost of a rebuild.

We work on everything from traditional stone farm buildings and stables through to large steel framed sheds and industrial units. Because we are steel erectors and groundworkers as well as roofers, any purlins, rafters or structural repairs found once the old sheets come off are handled by our own team.

As authorised suppliers of Greenhill Systems, we can specify Heatguard polycarbonate, corrugated tin, box profile and PVC cladding to suit the building and the stock inside it.

Storm damage is covered too, including insurance works — we can attend, make safe and quote for the repair.

What We Do

Barn Roofing Services

Whether it is a few damaged sheets after a gale or a complete strip and re-roof, we carry out the work ourselves from access to final clean up.

Complete Re-Roofing

Old sheeting stripped and replaced with new corrugated, box profile or polycarbonate roofing, properly fixed and sealed.

Re-Sheeting & Cladding

Roof and wall sheeting renewed together so the whole building is weatherproof, not just the roof.

Roof Repairs

Individual sheets, fixings and flashings replaced, leaks traced and sealed to get more years out of a sound roof.

Storm Damage

Wind damaged roofs made safe and repaired, including insurance works and reports for your insurer.

Skylights & Rooflights

Translucent panels and Heatguard polycarbonate fitted to bring daylight in and cut heat build-up.

Guttering & Flashings

Rainwater goods and made-to-measure ridge, barge and eaves flashings to finish the roof correctly.

Purlins & Structural Repairs

Rotten timbers and corroded steelwork replaced by our own steel team while the roof is open.

Asbestos Roofs

Asbestos cement roofs surveyed, tested, removed and disposed of before the new sheeting goes on.

Time for a New Roof?

Signs Your Barn Roof Needs Work

Leaks & Wet Bedding

Damp bedding and standing water mean higher disease risk and wasted straw every time it rains.

Loose or Missing Sheets

Rattling or lifted sheets after a gale will take more of the roof with them in the next storm.

Dark, Poorly Lit Sheds

Cracked or yellowed rooflights cut daylight — new translucent panels transform a dull shed.

Rust & Failed Fixings

Rusted sheets and perished washers keep leaking no matter how many times they are patched.

How We Work

Our Roofing Process

1. Roof Survey

We inspect the roof and the structure below it, check for asbestos and measure up for materials.

2. Quotation

A clear, free quotation covering the sheeting we recommend, flashings, gutters and any repairs.

3. Strip & Make Safe

Safe access set up, old sheeting stripped and removed, and any asbestos handled and disposed of correctly.

4. New Roof Fitted

New sheeting, rooflights, flashings and gutters fitted, then the site cleared and left tidy.
